Poznávání Elementary School is a private elementary school established in 2019 in Prague, the Czech Republic, when we opened our first classes. We are gradually building a complete elementary school from first to ninth grade (according to the Czech school system, the elementary schools are institutions that involve nine years of obligatory education, divided into a primary level – five years, and a junior secondary level – four years).
Poznávání is the second laboratory school in the country. The first started in 2016 in Brno (Labyrinth school), and we closely cooperate, share our knowledge, experiences, and ideas. We currently have more than 120 pupils.

Our ambition is to offer modern forms of education that follow the needs of people living in the 21st century. We try to integrate teaching methods and approaches that we consider innovative, are evidence-based, and can enrich our students and teachers.
We love to cooperate with universities as well as experts from various fields (e.g., science, industry, art, sports, entrepreneurship, etc.). We often invite them to our school, or our pupils and their teachers visit them in their institutions. We are open to experiments and research that guarantee a better quality of education and its continuous development. Therefore, we have been involved in a wide range of projects and/or localisation of new methods and technologies in the country.
The cognitive approach to education is one of our main educational principles, which we also emphasize in our curriculum.
